Question by Thunderchunk: Does anyone know any “unconventional” ways to make money?
I need to make more money. I have a part time job that pays just more than minimum wage and I’m trying to budget that between rent, groceries, gas, car insurance, and school payments. Needless to say, I’m not making enough to cover all of that and I’m going a little more into debt every month. Does anyone know of any ways that I can make some money? I’m not lazy and I’m not looking for a “get rich quick” scheme. I am just trying to find a genuine way of making some extra money until I can find another part time job or a decent full time job. Thanks!

Depending on the type of area where you live, pet sitting or walking dogs for your neighbors can be a fun and interesting way to make some extra money. If you like to buy and sell things – try selling on craigslist.com . You can advertise your items there for free. Clean out your closets – go curb shopping – or visit the thrift stores in your area for some free or inexpensive items you can sell.

-Driver’s ED Teacher (The worlds best part time job)
-Ebay Seller
-Stock Market
-Telemarketer
-Moonlighting (Pretty much working at the same type of place you work at in the day, but through the wee hours of the night, used by doctors a lot)
-Part-time Bartender (Great for tips)
-Substitute Teacher (Degree or no Degree)
-Venue Security Guard (For like concerts and other events)
-Sperm Donor (Personally, I would use it as a last resort, but sometimes you just need money)
-Volunteer (Soup Kitchens, Salvation Army, Fireman, EMT, ETC)
-Valet
You seem pretty polite so I doubt you’ll have trouble snagging at least of of these jobs.
First you must put yourself on a strict budget or you will never get out of debt no matter how much you make.
I do not know what you mean by “unconventional” way because anything you do that is honest “W-O-R-K” will help you get out of debt. If you have any skills as in a handy man, there is lot of money to be made on Labor. Most people do not want to work good hard labor. If you have computer skills you may do private teaching or reparing. There are also some legitimate on line jobs you could do. You can do demonstrations of different products at a grocery store or department store. You name it and there is work there if you really want it. Tutor children at home.
I hope you find what you are looking for, but in the meantime, you could use the old conventional way. Like bagging groceries, Being a cashier, cooking or selling burgers!

Get onto a Search Engine eg. http://yahoo.com and type in the search text box (Note use double quotes) “is (such and such URL) a scam”. If you get some results, click on a few of them to see what people are saying about the business. If a lot of the comments are bad then it is a warning sign to stay away from that work at home site.
Remember
1. Some people are very petty, so you must consider the statements made before listing the company as bad.
2. Some do not read the fine print when signing up or do not fully understand the concept therefore when a problem arises they complain loud and long.
3. Many of these companies have hundred of thousands of clients but have only a few complaints.
4. Make considered judgements.
